“The most terrifying motion picture from the terrifying No. 1 best seller”... this is what the poster of the movie Jaws read, way back in 1975.
Now, 43 years later, it’s still being broadcast on our televisions. And, you guessed it, it’s on e.tv. This classic fliek is on at 11pm, and although it’s very late, there’s no better time than the middle of the night to watch a thriller!
For those who don’t know Jaws, the film (directed by Steven Spielberg) is about a giant man-eating great white shark that attacks beachgoers on Amity Island. The local police chief teams up with a marine biologist and professional shark hunter to take the monster down.
But it soon becomes clear they have bitten off more than they can chew and might themselves be chowed by the shark soon enough!
As jy te bang is om Jaws te kyk, tune in for some soapie satisfaction with Uzalo on SABC1 at 8.30pm.
MaMlambo and MaNgcobo have discovered who shot Nkunzi, but MaMlambo is now begging that the attacker is shown mercy. All this while poor Nkunzi is feeling vulnerable for the first time in his life.
Shame, he doesn’t smaak this gevoel at all, and lashes out at MaNgcobo.
