Alistair Izobell, Loukmaan Adams, and Mujahid George invite you to kuier with them live on social media, as they present The Realness tonight at 8pm, in Mujahid’s living room.
With the lockdown crippling the entertainment industry, the trio say they want to engage with people by sharing their stories.
Actor and singer Loukmaan says like everyone else, he has had his fair share of frustration during this period.
He says: “Everyone is dealing with kids and their spouse during this time, so many times you have to bite your tongue when you speak to your partner because you don’t want to upset the other [person].
“When frustration kicks in, you have nowhere to go to let off steam but to the toilet, the garden, skop a boom or take a shower and cry or skel there because you’re in lockdown.
“Sometimes you think you’re alone but everyone is going through this.”
Alistair says the lockdown has forced him to find new ways of engaging with fans.
“[The lockdown] comes from the disparities of being in the industry we are in. We are one of the only industries that will be able to function post-Level 1. Most of us have only worked last in February, we might possibly only get to entertain again in December,” says the singer and playwright.
“It is challenging to say the least and while we all try to navigate to find solutions, this opportunity for us to engage and make people understand that it’s OK to feel everything they are feeling."
The live-stream session will be interactive and if you want to contribute to their cause by donating a monetary gift, they will appreciate the gesture, but the session is free of charge.
Singer Mujahid says: “We needed to create something to sustain our livelihood. Knowing many people are without jobs, we ask the people who can afford it to make a donation.”
The show will be on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
