People, there is still time to get your tickets to one of the hottest shows to hit our shores this winter.
US star Tevin Campbell is getting ready to set the stage on fire at GrandWest on Saturday, and we have Marmalade Productions to thank for it.
The company is celebrating 10 years in existence and had sold-out shows with Tevin in 2013 and 2016.
Tevin will be joined on stage by some of the Cape’s own crown jewels, including Claire Phillips, James Bhemgee, Jody Williams, Mujahid George, Robin Pieters, Salome, Sasha Lee Davids, Vuvu Kumalo and the PJ Twins, with maestro Camillo Lombard and his band.
Tevin says: “I can’t wait to get to Cape Town, there is always this different vibe you get from Cape Town people that you don’t get anywhere else in the world.”
Tickets are available from Computicket starting at R195 per person and the show starts at 8pm.
Meanwhile, it’s gonna be a drag at the Artscape Theatre on Saturday night as ABFAB Drag launches the Women’s Humanity Arts Festival in honour of Women’s Month in August.
Cape Town’s finest drag divas Vida Fantabisher, SA’s Got Talent 2016 runner-up Manila von Teez, as well as Kat Gilardi, Jayde Kay Johnson and Angel Lalamore of gay cabaret “3D” fame will entertain you.
The dancers of Jazzart Company will add additional pizazz.
Tickets cost R150 via Computicket and the show starts at 8pm.
