For many decades, the Easter Sunday Morning Sunrise service has been a tradition for those who celebrate the holiday.

Many Christians bundle up to attend the worship service, rising before dawn to celebrate, and anyone and everyone is welcomed with open arms.

The Salvation Army will host its annual Easter Sunday sunrise service on April 16.

There will be music from 6.15am and service starts at 6.30am and will be lead by Colonel Kelly Iglehert.

Shuttle buses will run from the University of Cape Town to Rhodes Memorial from 5am.
