Hello Weekenders, you’ve made it to mid-month, it’s mos downhill from here to pay day.

The last few days of the school holiday is on the cards and we’ve been supplying you with lekker activity ideas for the kids.

Now here’s another one, but it’s for the adults to end off the three weeks of school holiday stress.

West End celebrates manager Sidney Oliver’s 54th birthday and this annual party is always known to be a jol.

This year there’s a difference though, because it will be a jol with a cause and all proceeds will go to the Chauncy Anti-Bullying Campaign and Children Suffering with Cancer.

“This year I wanted to give back to the children with cancer and the anti-bullying campaign,” says Uncle Sid.

“I have a special space in my heart for the anti-bullying campaign because I was also bullied because of my sexual orientation for many years.”

The event is themed a Night With The Stars and there’s a lekker line-up of artist, including Salome, Sade Von S, Carmen Xclusive, Ronald Jones, Angel Lalamore and a range of Cape Town’s top DJs doing it in honour of Sidney.
