The final list of artists who will take the stage at the 21st Cape Town International Jazz Festival has been announced, and it’s a stellar line-up.
Africa’s Grandest Gathering will play host to some of the kwaaiest names in jazz.
It includes Judith Sephuma, the UK’s KOKOROKO and Ezra Collective, Manou Gallo from Ivory Coast, Earl Sweatshirt and Joel Ross from the United States, and Cape Town’s Sounds of Brass, featuring popular local saxophonist Donvino Prins.

These world-class acts and more will perform at the festival, which will take place on March 27 and 28 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Festival director Billy Domingo says: “These unforgettable acts will join some of the best local and international music icons, including Grammy Award winners PJ Morton from the USA and Jacob Collier from the UK, South African jazz legend Abdullah Ibrahim, Cape Town’s own Jonathan Butler - with special guest Candy Dulfer from the Netherlands, Kwetu Trio featuring Aaron Rimbui, Herbie Tsoaeli and Ayanda Sikade, songstress Lira, jazz master Mandisi Dyantyis, MF Robots from the UK, and South Africa’s Nduduzo Makhathini.”
The final list of acts include: Bombshelter Beast (SA); Earl Sweatshirt (USA); Ezra Collective (UK); Grassy Spark (SA); Joel Ross (USA); Johan Lass (SA); Jonas Gwangwa Tribute (SA); Judith Sephuma (SA); KOKOROKO (UK); Kuaetnika (Indonesia); Manou Gallo (Ivory Coast); Sjava (SA); Sounds of Brass (SA); The Unity Band (SA); and Saudiq Khan (SA).

General access tickets for the festival are available at Computicket at R999 for a weekend pass and R649 for a day pass.
