A night of glitz and glam at the GQ Men of the Year Awards saw Brit actors Richard Madden and Taron Egerton among the top figures honoured.

Now in its 22nd year, the event, held at London’s Tate Modern, celebrates individuals who have helped to shape the world’s cultural landscape over style, politics, entertainment and sport.

The 33-year-old Game of Thrones and The Bodyguard star, uitgevat in a in a black and navy suit, was presented with the most stylish man of the year prize by singer Rita Ora.

Rocketman actor Egerton, 29, was awarded actor of the year by Sir Elton John’s long-time collaborator Bernie Taupin.

Both Madden and Egerton have been touted as favourites to be the next James Bond, and both appeared in the biopic of Tiny Dancer hitmaker Sir Elton.

For the second consecutive year, grime rapper Stormzy, 26, took home the prize for solo artist of the year.
