The music video for Vicky Sampson’s new song – which was written by the multi-talented Marc Lottering – has finally been released.
The comedian and the diva got together in the studio in March to record This Is Enough which was penned by Marc in December last year.
With Marc’s partner, producer Anwar McKay, they released the music video at 6pm last night on Marc’s new website www.marclottering.com, where it’s available for viewing.
The Aunty Merle The Musical says the song is about a woman “finding a voice and finding the strength to leave a toxic situation”.
Producer Anwar explains: “It was extremely exciting to bring the storyline in the video to life with the various characters.
“We feel that everyone can relate to being in a toxic situation where the moment has arrived where you have to take the leap to save yourself emotionally, and often physically.
“I feel the video holds up a mirror to the issues facing us in South Africa 2021.
During recording, Vicky told Daily Voice it was exciting to be back in the studio: “I’m so chuffed about this song, the experience in the studio was awesome with Marc and his production team.
“I am over the moon and I can’t wait for Mzansi to hear this song.”
The song drops on iTunes and Spotify on Friday.
Marc adds: “The song drops on Spotify and iTunes on Friday and we hope to get all radio stations to play the song soon.
“All our artists need support and we want to encourage people to download the song and this way, you will support Vicky.”
Meanwhile, Marc’s latest show “LoiteringAtTheCityHall” is drawing to a close.
Online tickets are available on Quicket until 5 June.
