One minute he’s running for president of the US, the next Kanye West thinks he’s Jesus Christ.
The rapper made a dramatic entrance to his Sunday service in Atlanta at the weekend as he appeared to walk on water.
Kanye, 43, was joined by daughter North, seven, and four-year-old son Saint for the bizarre stunt as they walked on a translucent platform beneath the lake’s surface.
Wife Kim Kardashian, who was accompanied by actress LaLa Anthony, shared the entrance on her Instagram page.
Kanye, who has reportedly splashed nearly R100 million on his presidential campaign so far, started his weekly Sunday services where he is accompanied by a gospel choir.
He asked televangelist Joel Osteen, 57, to preach to the congregation on Sunday.
Pastor Joel said during his sermon: “I’m watching these fine men and women singing, looks like they’re walking on the water. And my mind goes back to that time where Jesus invited Peter to walk on the water.
“I could imagine Peter thought, ‘Jesus, what are you talking about? That’s impossible! I can’t do that.’
“Peter heard the calling. ‘Come on out here.’ But Peter was comfortable in the boat with the other disciples. It was easy to get comfortable even in dysfunction.”
Meanwhile, Kim is said to be very patient and understanding of Kanye’s presidential bid and she wants him to do whatever makes him happy.
A source says: “Kim continues to be incredibly patient and understanding about Kanye’s desire to run for president.
“She just wants to get through the next few months peacefully. She is kind of standing back while Kanye does whatever makes him happy.”
