Rapper Early B is ready to ring in the festive season with his latest song that is sure to heat things up.
The Afrikaans motormouth from Gqeberha has brought to life the lyrics he wrote with the vocals of Cape Town’s Andrea Fortuin, aka It’s Anny.
The music video for Forever or Never premieres on YouTube today and Early says: “This song is for everyone who was in love before, is in love right now, or will be at some time.”
The hip hop number goes: “Ek het myself ‘n lekke bad mama
“Flippen reg, all the ouens wanna bag her. 6 Inch heels, other kinnes can’t stand her.”
Early, 32, says he is confident that his latest song will be yet another chart-topper this festive season, following in the footsteps of hits like Ben 10 and Potte.
“People are gonna love this one.
“This is just something that makes you wanna dance and enjoy the summer time with friends and a lekker party.”
Always using the Cape Town scene for his videos, this time around, Early says he decided to film in his hometown, using local videographer Mwango Muntemba Kondolo from M.M.L Films and director Benito Carelsen from BLC Entertainment.
Early is excited for the reactions to the characters in the music video, because “it’s your everyday people portrayed through my sometimes comical lens.”
Andrea says this was the first music video she’s ever worked on: “Working with Early really was a pleasure, he is super nice and very funny.”
Forever or Never can be bought on all streaming platforms.
