The two Cape Town Idols contenders aced their Top 10 performances on Sunday night and now need your votes to get through to the next round.
Although there were no eliminations, fans were shocked by the sudden withdrawal from the competition by 22-year-old Ithana, due to health issues.
Meanwhile, our talents Berry and Daylin Sass slayed with their live performances as contestants shared the stage with South Africa’s most celebrated DJs, fronting some of their greatest amapiano hits.
The studio was brimming with energy as the Top 9 brought their best to the collaborations with the likes of Prince Kaybee, DJ Cleo and Sun-EL Musician.
However, judge Randall Abrahams was underwhelmed by most of the performances, saying contestants like Bulelani, Daylin Sass and Monique seemed like they were performing in a school concert, while others, like S’22Kile and Berry, tended to over-sing.
An unperturbed Berry said: “I enjoyed performing with DJ Cleo, it was a wonderful experience. It’s fun trying something different and out of my comfort zone.
“I look forward to learning more and showing my supporters what else I can do. I’d appreciate every single vote to get through to the top 8 and perform again this Sunday.
“You can vote for me by sending the number ‘6’ to 34700 or voting on idolssa.tv as well as the DStv app.”
Daylin performed the Prince Kaybee ft. Ziyon hit Friendzone, and says: “This song was totally out of my comfort zone.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and I had a ball of a time showcasing a different side to me.
“It has been a difficult and stressful week, but I had to pull myself together and not let doubt and my insecurities overcloud me.
“I went out there and did my best.
“Please remember to vote for me, my number is ‘9’ to 37400.”
