Superstar Black Coffee is said to pocket a cool R100 million a year. But the top DJ doesn’t have to fork out too much kroon for his estranged wife, a court has decided.
Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa and Black Coffee (real name Nathi Maphumulo) have been embroiled in a year-long divorce skandaal following multiple allegations of him jolling, including with David Guetta’s ex-wife, Cathy Guetta.
But the former Tshisa actress, 32, lost her legal battle seeking legal fees reportedly in the millions and maintenance from her estranged husband.
Court documents reveal she demanded more than R131 000 in monthly maintenance, made up of R80 000 child maintenance for their two minor kids, R30 000 for groceries and household items, and R17 800 for her beauty cosmetics, writes IOL.
And she demanded that he pay her medical bills as she had allegedly suffered depression from stress over their highly publicised divorce.
Her application was dismissed, with costs.
A Johannesburg High Court judge ruled that she only get R15 000 a month for spousal maintenance and R50 000 in child support.
The court also found that Enhle’s demands were ultimately unsubstantiated and unreasonable.
According to Sunday World, she said she’d become used to a kwaai lifestyle of luxury cars, holidays and high taste in fashion, and Black Coffee could afford this as he earned R100 million a year.
In September she added to her legal documents that she lost acting jobs because Black Coffee “would not accept me doing any romantic or intimate scenes”.
