A new South African reality show is zooming in on pastors’ wives.
The show, called Pastors’ Wives, will feature on DStv’s new Honey channel (173), which launches on Monday, 15 February.
Produced by former Generations actress Sonia Mbele – who also produced the Real Housewives of Joburg – Pastors’ Wives will star real-life pastors’ wives Innocent Sadiki and Nandipha Mlombi, as well as Phume Khethang, Adeyola Da Costa and Anietie Ezeimo.
Skeem Saam star Innocent is also a preacher and a co-presenter with her twin sister, Millicent Mashile on a gospel show called, Alpha Youth.
Former Mrs South Africa contestant Mlombi, the mother of five, joined the show to fight stereotypes about pastors’ wives. She runs an events company and a clothing line.
Honey channel will feature “bold and unscripted shows by African producers and talent”, with a line-up including lifestyle, food and cooking, relationships and weddings, and reality shows, writes Channel24.
