When life throws you lemons, make music.
Singer Chad Saaiman has done just that. The R&B singer will release a new single on Friday which was inspired by arguments that he had with two people in his life.
Chad explains the process behind writing the track, titled Wrong Again: “I remember that day so clearly, it was a mess.
“I had a disagreement with my producer and with my partner on the same day, then wrote the song start to finish that night.
“I felt misunderstood, misunderstood by humans. I needed to tell someone.”
He describes the song, which was produced by hEproducedit, aka Howard Edward, as having a “smooth, urban vibe”.
It includes lyrics such as: “I don’t wanna fight, I ain’t saying that I’m right, but maybe I just might be right (or wrong again).”
Chad, 25, says 2020 has thrown him his share of curve balls.
He tells the Daily Voice: “This year has been a movie, and the final credits haven’t rolled yet, so I am still making the most of it.”
Chad has also started his own show on Good Hope FM, called Saaiman Says, on weekends from 3pm to 6pm.
The show focuses on new music and unearthing new talent in the city and the country.
The single will be available on all digital platforms, including Deeza and Spotify.
