R&B icon Bobby Brown, 51, has broken his silence on his family’s grief after his son, named after him, has died.
Bobby Brown Jr., 28, was found dead at his home in Encino, Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.
Bobby is no stranger to death.
The world wept with him when he lost his wife, Whitney Houston, to an accidental drowning in a bath in 2012. She was 48.
And just three years later, Jr’s half-sister, Bobbi Kristina, similar to her mom, was found unresponsive in a bathtub. She spent six months in a coma, but died in July 2015.
Speaking of his fresh heartbreak, Bobby appealed for prayers.
He said in a statement: “Please keep my family in your prayers at this time. Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family. There are no words to explain the pain.”
A lawyer said Jr. had had “flu-like symptoms”, adding the authorities are investigating.
According to NBC News, an LA police spokesman said foul play was not suspected.
Bobbi Kristina, whose death was caused by drowning and “mixed drug intoxication”, was buried next to her mother two days after her death.
