Fans of local telenovela of Arendsvlei are thrilled as an extra day has been added to the juicy soap box.
For the past two years, mense were invited into the lives of the Cupido and Abrahams families on Monday to Wednesday nights.
Initially, kykNET’s first Afrikaans telenovela was only supposed to be on TV for one season, but viewers grew fond of the beloved characters which prompted kykNET to extend the telenovela for another year.
And from 1 October, kykNET will air the first fourth episode in the third season.
Arendsvlei Executive Producer Roberta Durrant says the changes are made thanks to the votes of viewers.
Durrant says: “Viewers have been asking for a third season at the start of season two. Penguin Films and Arendsvlei are excited about the four days a week and we will continue to surprise viewers.
“A big thank you to our viewers and thank you to our writers, talent and crew for your commitment and passion.”
Viewers can also expect to meet a few new characters in the Vlei including well-known actress Ilse Klink.
Arendsvlei’s third season will start on 28 September on kykNET & kie, DStv channel 145.
