The usually rustige Boland sprang to life this weekend with the jolly Stellenbosch Harvest Parade held at the Town Hall.

The highlight of the annual parade were the kwaai moves of the Hottentots Holland drummies who rocked the main street to the delight of spectators.

The Orients Minstrels had mense dancing along to klopse music and brass band tunes, while farm workers and their children jolled to the beats.

Tractors, beautifully decorated with balloons and grapes, trailers and trucks formed part of the procession along the main street.
