Kanye West, master of the public spectacle and known for never being far from the headlines, has once again done what he does best: stir the pot.
He turned his attention to a deeply personal subject: his late mother, Donda West. In a bizarre post, West made claims about his mother’s sexuality and the impact it had on his relationships.
According to reports from Hot New Hip Hop, West suggested that he had learned certain behaviours from his mother, revealing that he once overheard “noises coming from her room” and later discovered she was allegedly a lesbian.
West wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “You know that day when you hear noises coming from your mom’s room and you find out she’s a lesbian, and you’re like, ‘Mom, that’s my babysitter. You’re sleeping with the employees'. See, I got it from you, Mom.”
His comments about his mother’s alleged sexuality - who passed away in 2007 - are sure to raise eyebrows.
His mother’s death was the result of coronary artery disease following cosmetic surgery, and her passing has been a source of profound grief for him over the years.
Meanwhile, Kanye reignited his feud with singer Taylor Swift.
Ye has been lashing out at the Bad Blood hitmaker since gatecrashing her 2009 Album of the Year Grammy acceptance speech.
Now Tay-Tay has reportedly taken legal action against the self-professed Adolf Hitler fan for tweeting that she had a threesome with pop stars Justin Bieber and Harry Styles.
Ye tweeted: “I’ll show you an example of racism. Justin Bieber and Harry Styles f***ked Taylor Swift from both sides and didn’t call me.”
He added that it was “one thousand percent true”.
Swift was reportedly filed a "cease and desist” application.
And her NFL superstar boyfriend Travis Kelce is said to be bedonnerd and wants to talk to the Can’t Tell Me Nothing rapper “man to man”.
According to an insider who spoke with the Daily Mail, Swift was "left with no other option" than to take the legal action
"This time, he has gone too far. His claims are not just false they are defamatory.”
"This isn't just [West] gossiping. This is [West] sexually harassing a woman, defaming her, and intending to cause harm to her and to her career.”
