April is rapidly drawing to an end, and we hope your party plans are coming along nicely for this end-of-the-month weekend.

If you’re not sorted yet, you’re at the right place, because we know what’s cooking in Cape Town this weekend.

With the holy month of Ramadaan starting in a few days, The Cape Town Ramadaan and Lifestyle Expo is the place to be if you want to stock up on eats and start shopping for Labarang klere.

The 3-day expo is happening at the Cape Town Convention Centre and is organised by Radio 786.

In a first for South Africa, the event will showcase a political cook-off called the ‘Pressure Cooker’.

The Spar Interactive Cooking Theatre will make Parliament seem like child’s play as the DA, ANC, EFF and GOOD parties square off to cook up something lekker.

The likes of Patricia de Lille, Nazier Paulsen and John Steenhuisen will participate.

Entry to the expo is R35 and kids under 10 enter free.'

Facebook comedy sensations Bouncy and Chandre will come together for the first time this weekend in Mitchells Plain to showcase the Facebook Funny Production at Cedar High School.

Directed by Shakir ChuQy Hansen, the show boasts a lekker line-up of social media favourites like Waffles & Mo, Brasse In The Wood, Cody The Hard Trance Taxi Driver and Bouncy Sê So.

The audience gets to take part in a game show and stand a chance to win cool prizes.

The show is family friendly and tickets are available at R100 at the door.
