The popular reality TV show stepped up their game with the Live Broadcast on SABC 3 this week at the Expresso Studios in Cape Town.
After auditions in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, the Top 10 contestants are:
Jamie-Lee Domburg, a 26-year-old mother and model from Plumstead; Thato Moshoeshoe, 20, from Port Elizabeth; and Thandi ‘Zisto’ Mhlongo, 32, from Durban.
Also, from Durban, are Simphiwe Harrison Mkhize, 22, and twins Pretty and Precious Zondo, 27. Johannesburg is represented by Mncedisi Sindane, 22, and Nathaneal Davids, 29.
Jarrad, 32, is joined by Deen Woodman, 39, and Olwethu Nodada, 34, from the Mother City.
Jarrad says: “I am so excited, getting this far out of thousands of South Africans who auditioned is so unreal.
“I’ve always wanted to venture into television and media, but felt like I wasn’t good enough, and also being afraid of failure.
“This is a stamp of approval from God saying that I need to step into my light, not just to achieve my goals, but to increase my platform so I can have a greater impact when doing His work.”
An equally excited Jamie-Lee says: “This has always been a dream of mine to take on the television and media industry and this is one step closer to the dream.
“After so many rejections in the industry and feeling like I was never enough, God is about to take me places I’ve never imagined.”
