Evangelist Angus Buchan, who prayed for the salvation of gangsters in Cape Town a year ago, is back in the Mother City for another mass prayer meeting in Mitchells Plain.
On Sunday, Buchan will be at the Westridge Gardens between 3pm and 5.30pm for the holy crusade and everyone is invited.
Entry is free to the venue.
Last year, thousands attended his mass prayer service for rain held in Tafelsig, which drew gang leaders, drug addicts and dignitaries, as Cape Town suffered through an unprecedented drought.
While praying for the gangsters during this service, Buchan started taking off his clothing, placing it in their hands and on their feet, while giving each a private instruction.
The service was attended by leaders like former Mayor Patricia de Lille, Inkatha Freedom Party leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi, and United Democratic Movement leader Bantu Holomisa.
Community leader and CEO of the Cape Town Drug Rehab Centre and Mitchells Plain Police Station Community Policing Forum chairperson, Ashley Potts, this week took to Facebook, inviting mense to come and see Buchan.
“This is the moment you will be celebrating with us at Westridge Gardens this Sunday at 3pm,” he said.
On a Facebook Live video, Buchan is seen kneeling on the ground in prayer and later joins Ashley, remembering his last visit.
“I will never forget the day of those gang leaders,” he says.
“That day Jesus visited Cape Town. And to that we give God all the praise.”
Buchan launched his book “A Year of Grace” in Somerset West on Thursday.
