Club 7764 in Athlone has been revamped and is ready to show you their new face.
Richard Fortune has been appointed as the new Entertainment Manager of the club and says patrons can look forward to some lekker new features.
“I’ve worked here as an MC and host for the Jam Sessions on Sundays and moving into this new position is different, but I embrace it,” he says.
“The Sunday Jam Session is my baby, hence the reason we will be bringing it back once a month to kickstart it again.”
Club owner Mohorn Patel says they’ve done a make-over both internally and externally.
“We’ve upgraded the decor and sound and added some changes to attract a broader audience and also to keep up with the club trends.”
The grand reopening takes place on Saturday afternoon, where the legendary Rockets band will take to the stage.

In fact, Patel says, the Rockets are taking up residency and will be in the house every Saturday.
“I used to see The Rockets perform in various clubs in Athlone during the 70s, they were an institution and it was always lekker to watch them work. Now, all these years later, The Rockets is still around and performing in my club.”
On Friday, it’s Hookah Friday featuring DJ Fiegaro, Eezy E and Luda-Ash. Entry is R30.
On Saturday at 2pm, the Rockets will play and DJ Ben will be on the decks. R40 gets you in.
Saturday night from 9pm it’s In the Mix Saturday featuring special guests DJs Trennex and Clarence with Luda Ash and IV Beats. Entry is R40.
