“I didn’t think we’d still be doing online show, but here we are. This pandemic is really showing us wie’s baas,” says Marc.

“I’m so excited to introduce Jethro Williams.

“I first saw him on Facebook impersonating Aunty Merle more than a year ago. I think he’s an amazing kid. So I thought I’d invite him onto the show.

“I’ve written a comedy sketch for this show featuring Jethro as ’a little Aunty Merle’, who goes by the name of Malaysia.

The show features comedy sketches and interviews with fellow stars Carmen Maarman, who plays Soraya Samsodien in the Aunty Merle musicals.

“That sketch will also feature Merle’s neighbour Soraya Samsodien, played by Carmen Maarman. Fans loved Merle and Soraya together in the stage musicals.

“So this show will ultimately feature some of my new stand-up material, some of my characters that people know.”

Jethro says: “I’m super-amped about this, I always wanted to play a mini Marc Lottering, so I accept, I’m excited.”

Marc says he couldn’t resist not including the popular DJ Skouers.

“DJ Chad Chitter (and his legs) will also be part of the show, holding the show together with lekker beats,” he adds.

Marc will also be interviewing guests on the show, which will be recorded at Penny Lane Studios in Wynberg.

“I wanted to give my fans more than just the usual. People have been through the most.

“I would love for them to tune into this show and just have a fabulous 80 minutes. Your ticket will allow you to watch the show twice during that time.”

Tickets are R80 on Quicket.
