New Year’s Eve at the V&A Waterfront has become a favourite for locals and visitors, where young and old can enjoy a kwaai entertainment line-up and, of course, the spectacular midnight fireworks display.
The V&A Waterfront sets a theme annually and this year the theme is celebrating Mother Earth.
There will be fabulous Earth floats - don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for some of the Mother Earth pop-up performances including the beautiful Tree Opera singer, Our Mother Earth singing divas, The Fab 4 Acapella group, the magical Earth Nymphs and Tree Spirits, The Nomadic Orchestra and all the other music and Earth characters.
SPECTACLE: Myriad colours will ring in the New Year at the V&A Waterfront fireworks display
The Mother Earth NYE celebration parade starts at 6pm at the Flagpole courtyard and the entertainment continues until midnight.
The Amphitheatre and Silo courtyard stages will feature a variety of local musical acts throughout the night.
There will be special activities for the kiddies, and for their safety, the V&A Kids Crew will be handing out location assist bracelets to you and your children.
