Festive gees

It’s the weekend before Christmas and the festive gees has taken over.

We hope all the final touch-ups to the house are done, all the major chores and shopping are complete before the big day on Tuesday.

But for now, shake off the workday blues and prep for a lekker weekend of joyful cheer.

Tonight, Shabba’s World and Embrace Your Curves have joined forces to give back to kids who may not experience the joys of filled Christmas stockings this year.

Join the Christmas Collection Drive at The Address in Athlone by bringing a toy and a party packet as your entry and make a child’s Christmas special.

If you can’t bring an item, feel free to pay a donation of R70 at the door.

All donations will be distributed to kids in various children’s hospitals, at shelters and orphanages.

Entertainment on the night includes DJs Garth B, Shane Langdon, Faya and Luda Ash. Salome will also be live on stage to perform some of her greatest covers and original music.

At West End, it’s Christmas with 3D (Three Divas) Angel Lalamore, Kat Gilardi and Jada Kay in concert with Naythan Kayser on Friday.

The party continues on Saturday at West End’s Jazzy Sensations with Live Band Sade Von S, plus DJ Keith and Cool J on decks, and jazz classes hosted by Jazz 4 Joy from 7pm to 8.30pm. Entry is R50.

Throw on your swimwear, sloffies and towels... oh and your dop for the Summer Block Pool Party hosted by Purple Hearts Entertainment on Saturday at Oude Molen Eco Village in Pinelands.

DJs on the line-up include Papichulo, Nate, Wonder brothers, Deecee, Mikey G, Perry and Jodie. General entry is R150. Coolerbox entry is R150 and may only include three bottles and 12 cans until 6pm.
