Hot on the heels of a toxic workplace skandaal, Ellen DeGeneres is facing another backlash.
This time for her newly launched Be Kind gift box valued at $270 (R4200).
The box contains some of the 62-year-old comedian’s favourite things, but fans are less than impressed with the contents.
It includes a painting set, earbuds, a collapsible cup and a gold ‘hope’ necklace.
While Kris Jenner was impressed, fans were anything but, and very vocal on social media.
Instagram user @megwilliamson319 wrote: “’The headphones in my box don’t work very well - very disappointed in the quality.”
Another wrote: “Never got my summer box, can’t get anyone to respond to my emails? I don’t even have an account anymore for some reason, but I still have my invoice.”
And another is “still waiting for my box... it’s been months”.
“Can someone please contact me,” @annsterw commented. “I have sent seven emails and heard nothing back. I was double-billed for my premium box. Please contact me.”
The show averages 1.7 million viewers this season, nearly 38% less than last year, before being hit with accusations from current and former employees that Ellen had fostered a toxic workplace.
