Seeing that it’s Easter season, we squeezed in a few egg-citing Easter activities also.

The Joseph Stone Auditorium in Athlone will be lit this weekend for the Cape Town Artists Unite Against Music Extravaganza.

The theme of the show is “Our Voices Will Be Heard.”

On Saturday top local entertainers will unite in song and have their voices heard against the scourge of substance abuse that has reached epidemic levels within our communities.

Artists on the night include Madeega Anders, Lauren-Lee Bock, Ashur Petersen, Ramaine Barreiro- Lloyd, Adee Jay, Mujahid George and Kashifa Blauw.

The artists will be bringing their message to the stage to address the youth, persons affected by substance abuse and, equally important, the artists in the entertainment industry who are either battling with substance abuse or who have passed on due to substance abuse.

This initiative is hosted by Choice Drug Counselling Services situated in Athlone.

The event starts at 8pm but doors open at 7pm so you can vang a lekker seat.

Entry is R100.
