You’ve hit 30 and want to live your best life, but your bank balance just won’t allow you to.

Debit orders are going off at an alarming rate, and on top of that, everyone is expecting you to get it together.

These are the dilemmas comedian and radio jock Dalin Oliver has been facing since moving out of his parent’s home and turning 30 recently, and he is ready to share them with you in his third one-man show, on at the Baxter this week.

Adulting is written and performed by Dalin, and directed by fellow comedian Stuart Taylor. It runs until Saturday night.

The teacher-turned-comedian says: “When you come to this show, you will walk away with the golden knowledge of how to put on a fitted-sheet and also how to handle the inner of a duvet.

“These are the things I had to teach myself when I moved out of my parents' house three years ago, ever since, I’ve had to fend for myself and do the things we take for granted when we live with our parents.”

Dalin says since turning 30, he noticed people expect him to ‘have it all together’ when, in actual fact, it’s all falling apart.

“Adulting is so hard, people. No one warned me about the panic I’ll experience at the end of the month when debit orders decide to visit or about the stress of moving out and living on your own because you want to be independent.”

Tickets are R80 to R120 and are available via Webtickets.
