Rihanna is set to flex her acting muscle again.
The Take A Bow hitmaker has teamed up with Solo: A Star Wars Story star Donald Glover in the mysterious Guava Island fliek, which was shot in Havana, Cuba.
A preview for the secret film was posted on Wednesday, sparking speculation over the project.
Penned by Glover’s brother, Stephen, and punted as a “tropical thriller”, it also stars Nonso Anozie and Black Panther actress Letitia Wright.
It will drop tomorrow, Saturday, 13 April. Stream it for free at http://www.amazon.com/guavaisland tomorrow.
“On Guava Island, a local musician is determined to throw a festival for everyone to enjoy,” reads the film’s description.
Glover says: “I’m really humbled having the opportunity to present something this timely and timeless. Between Rihanna and the people of Cuba, this is one of my favorite projects I’ve ever worked on.”
The clip featuring the Barbados-born beauty, 31, and 35-year-old Glover is set to a percussion beat and shows the pair on an island.
Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke told Vanity Fair she “would have committed to [doing a project with] Donald sight unseen.
“I knew whatever he wanted to amplify would have relevance and be entertaining. He has that ability to create cultural moments and spread a message that’s interesting.’
The fliek will be shown at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, where Glover will perform this weekend.
