Kim Kardashian West lets her daughter North have her hair straightened twice a year.
The reality star was feeling the backlash of mom-shaming on social media as mense let rip about the risks of straightening a young child’s hair.
Kim – who also has two-year-old Saint and Chicago, six months, with her husband Kanye West – responded to a follower on social media who warned the reality star about the damage the styling could do to her five-year-old daughter’s natural krulkop.
Referring to a picture of her girl posing with dad Kanye, she responded: “She is allowed twice a year, on her birthday and birthday party! This pic was taken back in June on her bday (sic)”.

One follower wrote: “I can feel the heat damage from here! Leave your [kid’s] hair alone let her have the choice to damage it when she’s older.”
Another added: “Stop straightening her hair.”
Someone else said: “That poor baby’s curl pattern is gonna be all jacked up from the heat damage she’s putting on her hair at a young age.”
But others clapped back, defending Kim, as one wrote: “Y’all are so annoying. Maybe NORTH wanted her hair that way! She’s very opinionated as we can all see. AND it’s VERY easy to straighten hair without heat damage seeing as [how] her mom has a TEAM of PROFESSIONAL hairstylists.”
For North’s birthday last month, she had a joint unicorn-themed bash with her cousin Penelope Disick – the daughter of Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian and her former partner Scott Disick – which even involved putting magical horns on Shetland ponies.
The lavish party also saw a huge table of food complete with two unicorn cakes surrounded by delicious treats like donuts, cookies and ice cream.
