Holly-Haa, and what have we here?
Singer Kelly Khumalo and rapper Chad Da Don are making such beautiful music together that they are now sommer going to get married.
The couple has been dating for less than two months, but on Monday, Kelly took to Instagram to announce her engagement to Korobela hitmaker Chad, whose real name is Donovan Chad Mansoor.
Kelly, 34, posted a picture of their two ring fingers, which now each sport a new crown tattoo with each other’s initials on it, with the caption “#MeetTheMansoors”.
Kelly has the letters DCM on her finger, while Chad has KK.
According to a source, the two have been dating “for just two months, but have moved at rapid speed”.
The new couple shared some cosy pictures of themselves on Camps Bay Beach last weekend.
In October, Kelly approached Chad to feature in the music video for her song Dance Comigo, released on YouTube on 29 November.
In a behind the scenes video uploaded on 18 October, a flirtatious Kelly can be seen taking selfies of herself and her new lover.
And in another video she uploaded six days ago, Chad, 25, talks about how the two met.
“She asked me to be in her music video and that was the first time we met,” he says.
“Little did we know it would turn out like this. I mean, it was honestly just a music video, but then other things happened.”
Kelly was dating Bafana soccer star Senzo Meyiwa when he was killed in October 2014.
The two had gone to her mother’s place for Sunday lunch in Vosloorus when two armed men stormed into the house, robbed them and shot Senzo.
It appears Chad, from Pretoria, may be a serial fiancé, and Kelly is number four.
When the Daily Voice interviewed Chad in April, he was engaged to a girl he did not want to name.
A source said he had proposed to Oscar Pistorius’ ex, Samantha Taylor.
“And before her, it was a girl named Nicole who wanted to be a rapper’s wife at any cost,” added the source.
