Never mind that M-Net’s choice of bachelor is as hot as melting (white) chocolate, tweeps are not impressed.
M-Net has been slammed for its choice of the country’s first bachelor, Lee Thompson, 29.
But the creators of SA’s version of The Bachelor claim Lee fits the description of the kind of man the contestants wanted.

The ex-Sharks rugby player, fitness expert and international model was unveiled as the first contestant to look for love on the show, with women competing for his affection.
But there’s an outcry on social media that Lee “does not represent the demographic. Surprise surprise”.
A tweep wrote: “But 68% of the population in SA is black and they’ve chosen a (good looking) white guy? When are we going to make tv that represents and embraces our entire country and different cultures? (sic)”
But M-Net is min gespin, saying the “local version had to be a prince charming ... who is willing to put a ring on the finger of a girl from any culture or background”.
