Cape Town celebrities were dressed to kill on Saturday as they “attended” the wedding of the year between Britain’s Prince Harry and former American actress Meghan Markle.
A Royal Wedding viewing was held at the KFM studios where celebs were treated to a lekker tea party, complete with dainty cups, cucumber sandwiches and petit fours.
“London” guards standing at a “cab” greeted guests at the door, who then stepped into the venue on a red carpet.
In the United Kingdom, 600 guests filled St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle to view the nuptials of the royal couple, with thousands of mense lining the streets.
And KFM’s guests could be part of it all, thanks to a moerse TV screen.
The Voice SA winner Craig Lucas looked dashing in a beige two-piece suit and white shirt.
“This colour is perfect for an autumn wedding, I’m not one to show off so I kept it neutral and the soft fabric makes me feel cool,” said Craig.
Idols SA’s Paxton Fielies wore a satin champagne-coloured gown with a clear platform heel.
“I chose this dress because I love the length and the detail, and it doesn’t show off too much skin and curves,” she giggled.
Katlego Maboe, from Expresso Breakfast show, wore an elegant blue suit with British socks to draw attention.
“I loved the colours and the socks are perfect to fit the theme,” he says.
Kaapse Miss SA finalists Akile Khoza, Tamaryn Green and Tamarin Bensch also stieked uit.
But Jimmy Nevis says didn’t get the memo for tea party dress code.
He wore a red Puma jacket with thick mountain climbing straps, a skinny black ripped jeans and black Puma sneakers.
“I completely missed the part of the dress code when I read the invitation, I’m just being honest,” he jokes.
