Mense, die ding het geruk at the annual Divas 2018 show, hosted by Marmalade Productions and featuring international star Karyn White.
The Grand Arena at GrandWest was packed on on Saturday night as local divas supported White, who delivered a sensational show as she took mense back in time.
Among the opening acts were Rene Johnson who performed a medley of jazz numbers.
Teen social media sensation Andrea ‘Anny’ Fortuin channelled Ariana Grande as she belted out Dangerous Woman and Where You Are by Jose Feliciano.
G&T set the place on fire with their old school medley of TLC and Destiny’s Child songs. Former Idols winner Sasha Lee Davids’ voice soared as she performed three songs including her original hit Forever Yours.
Also on stage was Idols winner Paxton Fielies who has learnt a paar kwaai dance moves since we last spoke to her.
“I’m very excited to be performing on the same stage as Karyn White and opening up for her.
“She is one of the many incredible female vocalists that had a huge impact on the music industry and now look at me being one of them,” Paxton tells the Daily Voice.
White took over the second half of the show with her smooth moves and silky voice.
The sassy 52-year-old had everyone on their feet when she performed all her hit songs, including the Cape Flats favourite Superwoman.
“I’m so blessed to be here and want to honour God and Nelson Mandela for all he has done,” she said.
The single thorn among the roses was Ashtevhann Mentoor, from Delft, who performed a duet with White, singing her and Baby Face’s hit Love Saw It.
