Seaview Primary School held their annual Spring Disco at the Rocklands Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain on Friday.
Over 250 mense filled the hall for the lekker jol.
Good Hope FM’s DJ Portia opened up the dance floor to a roaring crowd ready to party smack bang in the middle of the month because everyone is already feeling festive despite being platsak.
Portia took everyone on a trip down memory lane with all our favourite anthems and old school hits which had mense sweating on the dance floor.
And there was no time for anyone to take a breather when DJ Cazz rocked up to spin hip-hop beats that had young and old skutting their biscuit tot die krummels val.
Meanwhile, Gadija Sydow Noordien from the cooking show Kaap Kerrie en Koeksisters, who is also the librarian at Seaview Primary, soema made it a double celebration when she held her birthday party at the event.
“Mitchells Plain loves DJ Portia and we are really blessed to be able to have her take time out of her hectic schedule to come play for us at no cost, we love that they showed their hearts for us,” said Gadija.
Nigel Maggot enjoyed the jol, saying from start to finish, there was barely time to rest before jumping up for all our favourites. I’m sure I lost a few kilos after all the dancing tonight!”
