The Castle of Good Hope was the place to be on Saturday when nearly 1500 m ense came out to the Scrilla Block Party.

The jol kicked off at 4pm and ended at 2am, and there was plenty of food and drink on sale.
First on the decks was DJ Bradd Peacock, accompanied by Ryan Hendricks on saxophone and Robin September on trumpet.
Jacqui Samuels from Milnerton came with her sister and friend and says they had a blast.
“It is my first time at a Scrilla event, I’ve heard about this before and so I had to experience it for myself,” Jacqui says.
Robin Blom and her friends were the first people on the dance floor.
“We like to start a party and the music was so lekker I couldn’t wait to kick off,” says Robin.
DJ Kelsey, aka Kixi, was the first female on the decks for the day, which immediately drew all the women at the party to the dance floor.
Organisers Jude Webb and Keron Basson are very impressed with the kwaai turn out.
“Everything went well and what matters most is everybody had fun, we are already planning the next event,” says Jude.
DJ Ron Xrated, who recently had a stroke, put in an appearance and fans made the most of his lekker hip hop set.
“I’m glad to be back on the decks, this is my happy place,” Ron told the crowd.
