Two up-and-coming Cape Town musicians will be featured on a song with big-time American rapper E-40.
The local artists, known as King Slave Boris and Dante Thee Dante, are from Athlone and Mitchells Plain, respectively, and have been pursuing their musical careers since they were children.
“I was musical since my toddler years but I started taking my art seriously from the age of 7 - I already knew what I was designed for at that age,” said Boris.
The duo, who go by the name of Dynasty, are also solo artists and met through a record label in Cape Town called Imaculit Music Group.
“We met in studio and didn’t immediately become as close as we are now - we had a healthy competitive hip-hop vibe between us,” he said.
The pair will feature on a song by Los Angeles rapper FOS called I Got It, with the track scheduled to be released on Friday.

“We sent our verse through to Los Angeles where all the mixing and mastering happened,” said Dante. “Music has always been a passion of mine and it’s always been a dream of mine to do music as a career and successfully.”
The duo said that they were so proud to be representing the Cape Flats on an international stage.
