She’s the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, according to Forbes magazine. Or is she?
The magazine seems to have made an about-turn on their assessment of make-up mogul Kylie Jenner after discovering she’s worth less than she claimed in March last year.
Forbes said it reviewed financial data released by Coty Inc, which bought a 51 percent stake in Kylie Cosmetics in November 2019.
Those financials show “Kylie’s business is smaller, and less profitable, than the family has spent years leading the cosmetics industry and media outlets, including Forbes, to believe,” the magazine said.
There are also claims that she cooked her tax books.
Forbes now estimates the net worth of the 22-year-old beauty to be around $900 million.

A shocked Kylie wrote on Twitter that the story was based on “a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions”.
She tweeted: “what am i even waking up to. i thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period.(sic)”

She added: “’even creating tax returns that were likely forged’ that’s your proof? so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am i reading.”

Kylie, half-sister of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, debuted Kylie Cosmetics in 2016 with $29 lip kits containing matching lipstick and lip liner.
She tried to put the drama behind her, though, tweeting on Friday: “blessed beyond my years, I have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and I’m doing perfectly fine.”
“I can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money I have.”
