The weather forecast shows a cold and wet weekend ahead, so for the party people, here are a few warme events to attend over this long-awaited weekend.
The Throwback Legends Tour kicks off in Cape Town this Saturday at the Castle of Good Hope.
Get ready to go back, way back to the days of bell
bottoms, platforms, afros and old school music.
The legends might be a little longer in the teeth, but they are excited to show off the music that made them famous.

The artists on the bill include Steve Fataar of The Flames, Wilfred Aploon aka Will B, Aubrey Arries of Bloodshed, Guss Smythe, Herbie Blackfoot, Lindsay Burts, Molly Baron, Theo Watt, Bones De-Light, Sandra Butler, Henry and the Definition Band, Joey Moses, Danny Chetty, Cecil Mitchell, Lindsay Burts, Errol Stephanus and Loukmaan Adams.
Theo Watt, 50, who recently retired from The Rockets after 31 years to pursue a solo career, says
mensecan expect a night of “pure magic”.
“This show is going to be amazing. Many of us haven’t seen each other for years, but we know it’s going to be one historic moment to be reunited and make magical music.”

An amped Aubrey Arries, 59, adds: “We come from an era when music was music the real kind of romantic music that made people feel.”
After Cape Town, the show will move on to Durban, Shelley Beach, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg and Namibia.
Tickets cost R150 for pensioners, general admission is R200, the Golden Circle R300 and VIP tickets cost R500.
