Imagine a world with no women... hard to think about, right?
Well, that’s exactly what’s happened in Light of My Life.
A decade after a plague wiped out nearly all of the world’s female population, a girl (Anna Pniowsky), and her father (Casey Affleck) journey through the outskirts of what is left of society. The daughter, who was an infant when the ordeal happened, becomes the only surviving female in the world. Disguising his daughter as a boy, the father struggles to protect her from newfound threats as they are forced from their home into dangerous territory.
The movie is a slow starter, and the story takes a while to develop, but as with most things in life, patience is a virtue and you will be rewarded.
