Everyone’s favourite antie is innie Kaap and wants you to join her on Tuesday, for An Evening with Evita Bezuidenhout.
It’s happening at the Artscape Theatre, a place Tannie Evita describes as, “die ou Nico Malan, but now everyone is invited.”
Evita has made Darling her home, but she still travels around the country to talk to South Africans about politics, her cooking and her multiracial family which includes a black grandson.
The most famous white woman in SA says: “Marlene le Roux, die baas van die Artscape het gevra, when last were you on this stage, Evita?”
And that’s how the show was born and Evita says it’s just going to be her on the stage talking about alles wat mal is in South Africa, from the university fees protests to the EFF and everything in between.
But the one thing the show won’t be is a moan and a groan fest, because Evita says she’s always optimistic about Mzanzi, its people and its future.
Daily Voice readers can win one of four pairs of tickets to tonight’s show at the Artscape which starts at 8pm. SMS your name and DVEvita to 32832 to stand a chance to win.
