Malema said all the Economic Freedom Fighters wanted was for equal opportunities for blacks and whites.

Julius Malema has reiterated his stance that the EFF has nothing against white people.

“We are not fighting against them‚ we are not fighting for them either. We are fighting for black people. Anyone who fights for white people is fighting for white people privilege,” he said yesterday at the Risko Fakude stadium in Secunda, where his party was celebrating the 40th anniversary of the June 16 uprising.

Malema said all the Economic Freedom Fighters wanted was for equal opportunities for blacks and whites.

But he did want Afrikaans, the language of the apartheid regime, to fall.

“When you enter a bank‚ the door is written in two languages – English and Afrikaans. Why? Where is isiZulu‚ where is seSotho. We want it to be equal‚ when you write in Afrikaans, we want you to write in all the languages‚” Malema said according to Timeslive.

The rally was attended by thousands of supporters who were lining up since the morning to enter the stadium.

Malema then appealed to community members to not burn buildings during protests, because “once the ANC government is out of office‚ we are going to need that clinic… and make it serve you”.

Malema was joined by other EFF leaders including Dali Mpofu‚ Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and Floyd Shivhambu.
