The Limpopo side were awarded three penalties against Highlands Park.

Baroka FC coach Kgoloko Thobejane says luck deserted them as they lost 2-1 to Highlands Park in the battle of the PSL newboys.

The Limpopo side were awarded THREE penalties in Tuesday night’s clash and they could only convert one of them as they were stunned.

Goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini was the man on song for the Tembisa Lions, while goals from veteran goal-getters Collins Mbesuma and Charlton Mashumba scored for Allan Freese’s manne.

And the outspoken Thobejane was on his stukke again after the game.

He says: “Luck was not on our side. The boys played well but you can see that it was not our day after we missed those penalties.

“But I’m not angry, it is part of football. It happens to every team. You can’t kill players after missing penalties.

“Now we go back home and regroup and make it a point that the next game against Wits, we hammer them and take three points.”
