Police have found the body of an unidentified man with wounds to his head along a local beach on the False Bay coast.
Cops rushed to the scene at Swartklip beach, along Baden Powell Drive, Mitchells Plain, yesterday morning when a passer-by made the gruesome discovery.
The man, who was only wearing underpants, was lying on his side in the sand.
Other clothing items such as black jeans, a green T-shirt and brown belt were found abandoned on a cliff near the body.
Cops believe the clothing belonged to the victim.
The man had injuries to his head and police are trying to determine which weapon was used in the murder.
Police spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut explains: “The victim, estimated to be in his early twenties, was wearing a black and white striped male briefs.
“Items of clothing were found abandoned on a cliff above the body, namely a black jeans and green shirt with brown men’s belt, which could possibly have belonged to the deceased.
