Tuna Quiche


One pack ready-made puff pastry

2 cans tuna in water, drained

1 large cup shredded cheese

1 medium onion, chopped

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

4 eggs

1 cup of milk

3/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp red pepper sauce


Toss tuna, cheese and onion with flour. Spread in greased pie plate, 24cm. Beat eggs slightly; then beat in remaining ingredients. Pour egg mixture over tuna mixture. Cook uncovered in 180 degree oven until knife inserted in centre comes out clean, about 35-40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

If you prefer the quiche in a crust, line the plaatjie with the puff pastry before adding the ingredients as above, and bake for 35 minutes.
