Tough at Province

MUNSTER DEAL: NO.15 Jaco Taute

Western Province is currently seventh on the log.

All is not well at Western Province at the moment.

After losing their two opening Currie Cup matches against the Blue Bulls and the Free State Cheetahs respectively, Province are currently in seventh place on the log.

This weekend, though, they will look to bounce back when they travel to Port Elizabeth to face the EP Kings.

With their administrative issues now on the backburner, the Kings have recruited a decent squad for the Currie Cup competition and coach John Dobson and his WP team will know they have to up their game if they want to notch their first win of the campaign.

To make matters worse for the Cape coach, rumours are circling that former Stormers boss and now Director of Rugby at Munster in Ireland, Rassie Erasmus, has signed fullback Jaco Taute on a short-term deal, while winger Kobus van Wyk is also believed to be on his way out.

Van Wyk is said to be joining former Stormers teammate prop Steven Kitshoff at French club Bordeaux.
