Mamelodi Sundowns are 90 minutes from continental glory after beating Zamalek 3-0 in their Caf Champions League final first leg at the weekend.
But midfield general Teko Modise has warned his teammates that “the job is only half done” as they head to Egypt this Sunday for the second leg.
Teko says: “Look, it is exciting to be in the final. We went out there with a plan and it worked out. There is still work to be done, though, as the job is only half done.”
Downs have had a tough playing schedule this season, with domestic and
continental games coming thick and fast.
And Pitso Mosimane’s manne missed out on silverware already this term when they were beaten 3-0 in the MTN8 final by Wits two weeks ago.
With the Telkom Knockout last-16 tie with Polokwane coming up next Thursday, Teko admits he doesn’t know how the club will prioritise games.
He adds: “Yes, one is more important than the other but that is the job of the technical team.”
