Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he would never rule out taking the England job.

But the Frenchman says he will see out his contract with the Gunners and reports claim that Sunderland coach Sam Allardyce will be interviewed by the FA this week.

The Mirror says: “Sam Allardyce will be interviewed for the England job this week, with the appointment becoming a straight fight between him and Jurgen Klinsmann”.

Klinsmann is the USA boss, but his revamp of his native Germany team in the 2006 World Cup, which paved the way for the national team’s dominance in recent times, make him an appealing option to the FA.
