United believe they are team to beat

GOING FOR GLORY: Man Utd

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero believes they are the ones to beat in this season’s Europa League tournament.

United continue their search of European gold at Old Trafford tonight where they will host Anderlecht at 9.05pm.

And with the two teams locked at 1-1 heading into the quarterfinal second leg, Romero knows they are the side to beat.

He explains: “I think every team wants to try to beat us, everyone goes out to win.

“We’ll do our best to implement the manager’s tactics and go through to the next round.”

Boss Jose Mourinho will be tempted to “park the bus”, with a cleansheet guaranteeing United a place in the next round.

Jose, though, says this will not be the case and adds: “First of all, if you don’t concede, you go through, and that’s important for us to know.

“At the same time, Anderlecht know that if they don’t score, they’re out.

“Let’s see what happens. We play at home and I know our record there in the Premier League is not the best, but in the Europa League we’ve won every match at home. Are we going to play for a 0-0? No.”
