Juve's Dani Alves and Barca's Lionel Messi

Juve’s Alves to get back at his old club

Juventus will show Barcelona no respect, says former Nou Camp star Dani Alves.

The European giants meet in Turin tonight in a Champions League quarterfinal (kickoff 8.45pm) – the first time since Barca’s 3-1 2014/15 season final win.

And Alves, who believes he was forced out of the Spanish club at the end of that campaign, wants to show his former teammates wie is regtig baas.

The Brazilian rightback says: “I have to say that I didn’t feel as comfortable any more at Barca.

“Things changed at a club level, and as time went on, I always seemed to be the one in the firing line. ‘Dani’s the one who has to go,’ they’d say…

“They didn’t show me respect.

“I decided to head off in a new direction and find happiness somewhere else.”

Juve boss Max Allegri, meanwhile, is not paaping about Barca’s famed attack of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

He believes his defence of Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon are as good.

Allegri says: “Football is very simple and consists of two aspects that you have to do well – attacking and defending.

“There’s no shame in being good at defending. In fact, it’s just as beautiful as a great attacking move.

“I’m very happy for those who can turn football into a show but, as far as I’m concerned, if you want to see a show, you should go to the

circus.”
